Effect of Storage Temperature on Selected Strength Parameters of Dual-Cured Composite Cements

Direct restorations are currently the most popular used in dental prosthodontics. Due to increased requirements for materials fabrication of fixed restorations, there is a need evaluation strength parameters these materials, including cements. The present study investigated change selected four dual-cured composite cements as function storage temperature. following were investigated: three-point flexural (FS), modulus bending (FM), diametral tensile (DTS) and Vickers hardness (HV). Four tested, i.e., Multilink Automix (Ivoclar Vivadent), seT PP (SDI), MaxCem (Kerr), Bifix Hybrid Abutment (VOCO). Each tested was stored 7 days at one temperatures: 8 °C, 15 25 or 35 before samples made. Strength properties (DTS, FS) not strongly dependent on temperature range 8–35 °C. Some statistical differences observed between various temperatures. FS FM lowest Abutment, highest MaxCem, cement with filler content (70% by weight) showed HV.
